In this phase, you must prioritize the safety of both yourself and the casualty. Life-threatening conditions, particularly uncontrolled bleeding, are addressed as a means of stabilizing the casualty in a high-risk environment. Actions may be limited due to the necessity of remaining vigilant against ongoing threats. Other aspects such as comfort or detailed assessment of injuries are secondary to the immediate need to manage critical bleeding. Similarly, evacuation procedures are also not the main focus at this stage, as the environment may not support safe movement until the threat level decreases.
